Edka Agent
The Edka Agent is a platform-managed in-cluster component used for cluster inventory and snapshot reporting. It allows Edka to collect the runtime data needed for inventory visibility and related platform operations.
Features available
- Inside cluster snapshot delivery to the Edka control plane
- Inventory data used by the Edka inventory workspace
- Managed webhook configuration generated by Edka for the cluster
- Required platform component rather than an application-facing feature
How it fits in Edka
This add-on is primarily managed by Edka itself. You may see it in the cluster add-ons catalog because it is part of the supported catalog, but day-to-day usage is usually through higher-level platform features instead of direct manual configuration.
If the agent is missing from a cluster where inventory is enabled, Edka can reconcile it back into place.
